I've just gone to Google and signed in to enable web history on the account, and funnily enough in the example screenshot they provide you with Digg is in the history.

Yet Another Leopard Guess.

Top three not to buy in MacRumor's Buyer's Guide:

Product Mac mini
Recommendation: Don't Buy - Updates soon
Last Release September 06, 2006
Days Since Update 215 (Avg = 151)

Produc iMac
Recommendation: Don't Buy - Updates soon
Last Release September 06, 2006
Days Since Update 215 (Avg = 168)

Product iPod
Recommendation: Buy only if you need it - Approaching the end of a cycle
Last Release September 12, 2006
Days Since Update 209 (Avg = 223)

I've seriously been considering whether or not to make the substantial switch to the Mac recently. I feel that the Mac has so much more to offer in terms of creativity and experience, I would really like to make use of that. I've pretty much made my mind up now and have decided to travel across into the Mac regions however, it'll have to wait.

I've subscribed to the feed of MacRumors in my Google Reader and frequently read many of their articles and reports as well as numerous other Apple rumor and reports sites (Such as AppleInsider). So it was only natural that I checked out their Buyer's Guide, and it seems to be pretty reliable and accurate, I instantly clicked the time ordered link at the top and found that the top three (listed above) seemed to be the Mac Mini, iMac and iPod. I was considering to start out with the Mac Mini but then thought to spend that little extra on an iMac - Only to find that those were the top two on the do not buy list. They seem to be pretty amazingly over their normal estimate and with Leopard release getting pushed further and further back and the speculation spinning wildly out of control... Is Apple the new Microsoft?

No. I wouldn't go that far either. Leopard will hopefully be here before we become all old and gray. Many other products appear to 'expire' in the next 3 months (June), which just happens to host WWDC in which the first day also seems to give way to the iPhone. I think before this first quarter is out a whole range of Apple Merchandise will have been revamped - all of which will integrate Leopard. I hope so anyway.

One Step Closer - DRM

It's Official.

EMI Music will be sold free of DRM in the iTunes Store.

It was announced recently that Steve Jobs, Apple CEO, would join EMI at a press conference in London today (2/4/07). Rumours were flying around the blogosphere. Would this be DRM? Would this be the Beatles in iTunes? Would this be this? Would this be that?

The majority were correct. EMI has announced that they would be selling their music DRM Free. This has got be some of the biggest news for the digital music industry in a while. Also, a big step forward for DRM-Free world.

EMI went on to explain that their complete music catalog would be in the iTunes store in may - completely DRM-Free and at a higher quality.

I really think this is a huge leap forward for both the Music Industry and for Apple and I hope that many more companies announce plans to drop the DRM from their own tracks. As for Apple, this is huge news. If more companies decide to drop the DRM from their music then more people will shop in the iTunes store. Some may say that less people would be buying the iPod but I'm sure if this were to become the case then they'd be making far more from the rocketing sales figures of iTunes. Many people may prefer other portable music players to the iPod however love the iTunes store - This announcement is the start of dream come true.
